A NEW DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY

An integrated approach based on the final product

As part of its development strategy and keen to secure a larger market share, TCT Tunisia has developed alongside its traditional activity (custom work) a more integrated approach based on the final product.

This new dimension required the mobilization of significant material and financial resources. The evolution of the European market, its openness to the countries of Eastern Europe, the aggressive competition from the countries of the Far East and Asia have pushed the managers of TCT Tunisia to reflect on the establishment of new mechanisms to even to ensure the sustainability of the company.

Product development

It all starts with the technical and stylized drawing in line with our customers' requests, taking into account material parameters, assembly constraints, compliance with standards, etc.

The design will then be digitized in our CAD / DAO offices and after computerization of the cardboard patterns, the product passes to the prototyping stage.

After changing the model to different sizes and validating the prototypes, the patterns are placed in order to optimize the cut while saving fabric with the efficiency calculation.

Sourcing and procurement

When embarking on the creation of a collection, sourcing is a step that can be time consuming.

To succeed in this step, TCT Tunisia has a supply and purchasing unit. Its primary role is to seek out new sources of supply by prioritizing quality criteria, costs, deadlines and negotiating the conditions for purchasing materials or products at the best price.

Indeed, this unit operates in relation with various interlocutors and services (customers, suppliers, marketing, logistics, production), it influences the quantitative and qualitative inventory of needs and existing stocks.

Tailoring

After the fabric has been cut and adjusted, the cut pieces go through our customization workshops. The different parts that make up the garment are then cut from the fabric and then assembled during different manufacturing steps.

Before giving the green light to our manufacturing workshops, we always carry out tests by launching “preproduction” in order to verify that each model will be correctly assembled.

The versatile collaborators then assemble the parts to achieve the final product. This includes making the buttonholes, fitting the buttons and all the operations involved in the making...
